Meet at the wardens Centre on Forest Farm Road at 10:00 we expect to finish by 13:00 21 September 2008 VOLUNTEERING EVENTS added by Martin Chambelain There will be a volunteer day at Forest Farm on Sunday 22nd June from 10:00 to 13:00 meet at the Wardens Centre, Forest Farm Road. Refreshments provided 16 June 2008 Sad Loss added by Peter Heron peter.heron@tiscali.co.uk I went for a walk in Longwood this morning and was saddened to find that we had lost one of our oldest treasures on the weekend. I feel as if we have lost an old friend. Babs and I had not been able to get down the reserve so far this week, so when the opportunity presented itself due to a cancelled appointment, I was down there like a shot (well perhaps 'a shot' is an exaggeration, 'a lob' perhaps). I know that Babs will be as upset as I, as we love to walk that path and always stop to admire what is left of our diminishing 'ancient forest'.
